ABOUT FIRSTOFF
Every golf venue in America.
Verified and free.
FirstOff is the most complete golf venue directory on the web. Every course, driving range, simulator, and lesson provider — with real hours, ratings, reviews, and contact info.
Not just golf courses
Most golf directories only list courses. We index everything — the range you warm up at, the simulator you play in January, the coach who finally fixed your grip. If it involves golf, it's here.
Golf Courses
Public, municipal, executive, and resort courses. Tee times, green fees, and reviews.
Private Clubs
Country clubs and private golf communities. Membership info and contact details.
Driving Ranges
Golf driving ranges, practice facilities, and hitting bays. Hours and pricing.
Indoor Golf
Golf simulators, virtual golf lounges, and indoor golf venues. Year-round play.
Golf Lessons
Golf coaches, academies, PGA instructors, and swing coaches. Beginner to advanced.
Golf Entertainment
Topgolf, Puttshack, PopStroke, and other social golf entertainment venues. Food, drinks, and fun.
Where the data comes from
Every venue in the FirstOff directory is pulled from Google Places — the same database that powers Google Maps. We don't accept paid listings. We don't let venues pay to rank higher. The data is what it is.
Sourced from Google Places
Names, addresses, phone numbers, hours, photos, and reviews — straight from Google's business database.
Classified into 6 types
Every venue gets categorized — public, private, range, simulator, lessons, or entertainment — so you can actually filter and find what you want.
Refreshed automatically
Venue data updates when you visit a page. Hours change, courses close, new ranges open — the directory stays current without you having to check.
No paid placements. Ever.
Venues are sorted by distance and rating. Nobody pays to be listed, nobody pays to rank higher. Free for venues, free for golfers. That's not changing.
Who built this
Jake Irving
Founder, FirstOff
I've played golf for 20 years and worked in the industry for 15. The thing that always bothered me: there's no good way to find all the golf near you in one place. Google Maps has the data but no golf-specific filters. Yelp barely covers golf. The niche directories are all pay-to-play — the courses that pay the most show up first.
I wanted one site where I could type a ZIP code and see every course, range, simulator, and lesson provider within 20 miles — with real hours, real ratings, and no sponsored results. That site didn't exist, so I built it.
FirstOff is that site. Every golf venue in America, properly categorized, always free.
Finding golf should be easy, unfragmented, and fast. So we built that.
